Self-portrait, 1958
Charcoal on paper, 33 x 23 cm
The collection of drawings held by the Arranz-Bravo Foundation comprises three self-portraits, a pencil drawing on paper from 1952, three charcoal sketches from 1958 and an ink drawing on paper from 1959. All reveal an introspection of marked psychological interest in which the young artist began to reflect on his own existence.

Carlos, 1970
Painting and collage on paper, 47 x 68 cm
This painting, with a collage from a photograph of his brother Carlos was created during the time he painted the Parets factory in Barcelona with Bartolozzi. It portrays the same shapes which were characteristic of the late sixties and the early seventies.
D16
Richard Hamilton, luz impresionista, 1978 (Richard Hamilton, Impressionist Light)
Pencil drawing on, 36'5 x 27 cm
The renowned British artist and close friend of Arranz-Bravo, Richard Hamilton visited him when he lived in Vespella (Tarragona) in 1978. The title of the work implicates the ironic and subtle world of the friendship. The lit candle has a double meaning.
D52
Big Anima 5, 2003 (Big Soul 5)
Painting on paper, 45 x 38 cm
The archives of the Arranz-Bravo Foundation hold the seven paintings on paper of the Big Soul series, which like the oil painting from the same series, is a contrast between a mysterious background to an overlapping of coloured lines which gives way to an image which clearly explains the title of the series.
D9
The friend, 1960
Painting on paper, 23 x 32 cm
This simple yet expressive sketch shows the bases of the formal ideas which the artist was to later develop.
D25
Number XXII, 1993
Pencil and gouache on paper, 60 x 50 cm
Lanfranco Bombelli, the creator of the Galeria Cadaqués and the architect who designed the studios at Cadaqués and Vallvidrera for Arranz-Bravo, commissioned the Numbers series, with oil paintings, paintings on paper and drawings, three of which form part of the Arranz-Bravo Foundation. An entire visual world has been created through the use of a number.
D29
Faith nº40, 1998
Mixed technique on paper, 24 x 17 cm

The Faith series, which was presented at the Reina Sofia National Museum Art Centre of Madrid and which was also published in a signed version, was presented in travelling exhibitions in various museums, such as the Sprengel Museum of Hannover. The Arranz-Bravo Foundation has fifteen of these original paintings, which are outstanding for the marked diversity of investigation.

Polyptic, 2004
Pencil and ink on paper  - 16 drawings of various sizes

The idea of reuniting various sketches with almost symphonic and choral shapes, forms a dialogue between the series, a combination which brings together the singular characteristics of each piece with an interest for the overall result.
